Xàbia is presented to Fitur in 360º

An image is worth a thousand words and the Javea Town Hall has wanted to present, this 2020, to the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), in the most original way and using the latest technology. Through 360-degree images, Xàbia will introduce tourists to each of its charms with a virtual tour, enhancing the image of tourism and cultural heritage.

With these interactive images, the Xàbia tourism department It shows, in a simple way, the interior and exterior of the most special places in the town. "They have been made so that people who choose the destination of Xàbia have a real preconceived idea, it is also positive for people with reduced mobility or to see the destination if it is closed", has indicated the Councilor for Tourism, Tony Miragall.

Also, the mayor has added that Xàbia will be in Fitur with two clear objectives: tourism promotion and sustainability. Therefore, from January 22 to 26, under the umbrella of the Costa Blanca, Xàbia, one more year and there are already 40, will join the promotion with 175 countries.

The Virtual Tours They will be presented on Wednesday, January 22, at 17:30 p.m., at the Fair, although they are already available on the municipal website (https://www.xabia.org/ver/6529/Tours-virtuales-X%C3bia. html).

In total there are 24 virtual tours, 18 for outdoor spaces and another 6 outdoor, plus 26 images in 360 degrees and 3D views. Some of the tours are composed with an interior icon that provides more information. As for the interior spaces that can be visited are: the Museum, the churches, the convents, the Riu-Rau d'Arnauda and the House of L'Escaldà.

Of external places stands out: granadella, Cala Blanca, La Barraca, The Cova Tallada, The Molinos de la Plana and the Sèquia de la Nòria. In addition there are 360 ​​degree images from the top of Montgó.

Sustainability

The other line of promotion of Xàbia and that gives continuity to the offer presented last year is Sustainability of Destination Management. The presentation will be on Thursday 23 at 14:30 p.m., in the IFEMA pavilion.

Miragall has highlighted, in fact, that since the town hall for years they are aware of guaranteeing the tourist continuity of the municipality and "This activity will be done without squandering our natural and cultural heritage and determining our identity as a Mediterranean people".

The councilor has remarked that they are working on responsible tourism within a global and inclusive perspective, "As a novelty we have edited a decalogue for the responsible tourist in different formats and in six languages."

As Miragall has commented, a project on posidonia is also being prepared "And for this he will join the Formentera project, Save Posidonia Project, and we will ask the Valencian government for autonomous legislation for the conservation of the seabed."
