The streets of the Historic Center of Xàbia will welcome the fira d'Art i Nadal al carrer from 6 to 9 in December. Organized by the Historical Xàbia Merchants Association, the stalls will be located in the Plaza de la Iglesia and surroundings, making it part of a historical and traditional commerce environment such as the Municipal Market.
With this event there is the opportunity to make the first purchases of Christmas products, both decoration and gastronomy, to the neighbors and those who visit Xàbia on this bridge of the Constitution, as well as enjoying the surroundings.
The stands will sell typical products of these dates such as chestnuts, nougat, typical sweets and crafts, as well as demonstrations, workshops and some activities so that the little ones have fun while their families make a quiet visit to the different establishments of Xàbia Histórica.
Also in the Municipal Mercat de Xàbia You can also see the great nativity scene that the Christmas Nativity Scene Association assembles every year with its most typical elements and a nod to local customs.
First of all, I have to congratulate the municipal bus company for having had service during the 6 and 8 days, despite being holidays. The downside is that this service is advertised only inside the bus and not at the stops, so, if you do not take the bus, you do not know what works! Very original and practical. The fact is that the 8 day I saw him pass, so I took advantage to go up to the announced Christmas Fair in the town. What a disappointment! A few positions and it's over. Christmas items were not sold, nor nougat nor typical sweets nor Christmas decoration, the stalls were practically the same as those of the flea market on Thursdays and only the Red Cross and some stalls put some color. A disappointment, I expected something else. Of course, the Belén del Mercado is very beautiful, like every year.
