Hundreds of residents of Xàbia gathered this afternoon in the Plaza de la Iglesia to drink the twelve 'segments of tangerine' to the rhythm of the 12 bells and with the best festive atmosphere and music by Toni Aibax. As tradition dictates, at 12:00, yes, but at noon, the DJ would ring the quarters and later the bells. The attendees rushed to take the pieces of mandarin to have the best start of the year.
But the celebration of the advance of the children's-family New Year's Eve had begun much earlier. Since 11:00 a.m., dozens of families have been coming to the square to enjoy the inflatables, the music and meeting friends.
The Fogueres Xàbia Commission had installed a bar with popular prices to accompany this festive day, which has exceeded, in 2023, all expectations.
The party, also organized by the Historical Xàbia Association, continued until 17:00 p.m. with the mobile disco by Álex Femenia and Toni Aibax.
