January 06 from 2024 - 00: 01

Xàbia was once again the scene of the expected Three Kings. As planned, at 17:00 p.m., the Three Wise Men; Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar arrived by sea to the town's port aboard the Sol Tercer fishing boat. Hundreds of boys and girls with their families and the municipal authorities were anxiously waiting for them on the ground.

And, since before 16:00 p.m., dozens of people were keeping their place in the fish market area so as not to miss the arrival of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men of the East.

After arriving, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar boarded the horses that were waiting for them and traveled the planned route through the Duanes de la Mar neighborhood along with all the pageantry that awaited their arrival. Dances, floats and messengers made up the parade.

During the parade, the excitement and laughter of children and adults filled the streets of the port of Xàbia as they saw the Majesties of the East pass by and greet them up close, throwing candy. In addition, some children have had the opportunity to obtain gifts from the pages, who have gone up to each balcony to deliver their wishes.

At the end of the parade, the Three Wise Men addressed the attendees from the stage, together with the mayor, Rosa Cardona and councilman Festival, Mavi Pérez, located on Avenida Jaime I, The Three Wise Men have exchanged conversations with the little ones and have made sure that their behavior has been and should be for next year, good.

Subsequently, the parade continued towards the historic center, where the Kings of the East continued greeting the residents and visitors of Xàbia until their arrival at the Placeta del Convent where they once again met with all those attending.

Look, I was born in Javea and I don't deny that a lot has changed, but the children's hope of seeing the kings who every year do everything possible to ensure that this hope of each child fills each child with happiness is better than the defiles, but we still need to change everything, firstly the virgin has to be in the velen not go with the parade and secondly put the shepherds who are children that they removed that being traditional and more of javea and finally in addition to giving candy they had to give to each child a gift that is normal and not a danger because something can happen some year without going more legos in benidor step with a child who swallowed a candy who want something to happen well it is better that they remove that and give a ball to each child and a gift when they go up on stage it is more beautiful to listen to me everything will be more beautiful and the illusion will be greater you will see if you do it.

But that was a cavalcade of kings? I thought it was a costume parade, the shortest parade of each year, those parades from the 90s in Javea with dromedaries, dancers and a lot of pages in front of each king will remain in my memory, it had been years since I saw a parade of kings And what a disappointment it was for me and many other members of my family.

Have you at least seen something, have you seen the parade pass through the Arenal? Because the children of Arenal do not

Nothing is like it was in the 90s. Tackiness is imposed so that no one feels disadvantaged. The Chinese are very much to blame. Let's be thankful that we still have a cavalcade of kings and feel lucky to have some references.
Don't look at the costumes and the staging; Better look into the eyes of the people who have made the effort to be there for the enjoyment of the children and everyone and you should find comfort.
