En Specsavers Opticas have raised a total of €6.107,30 in their solidarity campaign, carried out from July 3 to December 31, 2017, together with the ONCE Foundation, for the Care of People with Deafblindness (FOAPS).
This money will go entirely to FOAPS, to be able to finance 407 hours of mediator-interpretation services aimed at people with deafblindness in Spain.
The commercial and business development director of Specsavers in Spain, José Ángel Moral-Tajadura, has delivered a check to the territorial councilor of the ONCE of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, Marcelo Rosado, at the headquarters of the ONCE in Malaga, which was attended by José Miguel Luque Gómez, director of the zone management ONCE Málaga, Córdoba and Melilla.
In addition to raising more than 6.000 euros, the solidarity campaign has also served to raise awareness among the Spanish population about the problems that these people face every day and the excellent work that FOAPS does to help and assist this group. Therefore, Specsavers has expressed its satisfaction for having been able to contribute in some way to this important foundation.
