Xàbia Diversa is the space for attention to sexual and gender diversity. It is, specifically, a municipal program that has been active in Xàbia since 2016 by the hand of La Naturadora (Benissa Coeducation School) in order to provide information and attention to affective, sexual and gender diversities, as well as consult about sexual orientation, gender identity, relationships, pleasure, safe sex, LGTB-phobia situations or any topic related to sexuality and guaranteeing people's freedom.
In addition to the care service, the Xàbia Diversa service also supports secondary education centers through an affective and sexual education program. This program includes raising awareness in secondary schools. At present, the educational program is being carried out with the 2nd ESO groups of the IES number 1 and Antoni Llidó. In addition, the creation of a group of young people will also be encouraged to create a space for reflection and action to make all diversities visible and prevent LGTB-phobia.
The care space is a point of accompaniment for young people with the aim of guiding and clarifying doubts about sexualities. Both LGTBI youth and people around them who want to make related inquiries are served.
LGTBI Group
The LGTBI action group is a space created by committed students of the IES of Xàbia. During these years, awareness-raising actions and campaigns have been carried out in the centers, and in 2019 the first LGTBI pride was organized in Xàbia for the entire population. Every year, this group designs and creates new campaigns for the entire municipality with the aim of promoting diversity and claiming freedom. To participate voluntarily in this action group, it is open to young people between 15 and 19 years old.

LGTBI Section in Libraries
At the end of June 2021, and coinciding with the proximity of June 28, LGTBI Pride Day, the Xàbia Library, in collaboration with the Department of Equality, presented the authorization, in each of its two locations, a section with LGTBI theme in which you can find books, publications, comic studies and digital resources on sexual diversity.
LGTBI-themed literature is suitable for all audiences and the key to knowing and respecting.
