Tomorrow, December 13, as the saints mark, it is Saint Lucia. On the occasion of this day, Xàbia celebrates the traditional pilgrimage to Santa Llúcia. From the Plaza de la Iglesia a procession of festive, municipal and religious authorities will leave, accompanied by music from dulzainas that will go to the Hermitage of Santa Llúcia.
As every year, at 11 hours there will be a mass in the hermitage and later there will be a procession around the chapel with the two Santas that are in the hermitage: Santa Llúcia and Santa Bárbara.
But on the eve of this day, the festivities of Santa Llúcia 2017 travel the streets of the historic center of Xàbia to announce the party and reach the street that Santa has with his name. This appointment will be this afternoon, Tuesday 12, at 19: 30 hours.
