[Video] Inés Doménech starts the festivities of San Juan with the opening speech

The festivities of Fogueres de Sant Joan 2019 are already a reality. 10 intense days of events in which Xàbia and her Quintà, 'Xe, who gave up!', they will live to the fullest.

The first of the events took place yesterday Friday, June 14, with the Pregó. The historic center and the neighborhoods of Frechinal and Thiviers were filled with music and color with the parade of the fifth and court of honor for children and youth.

After the tour and as tradition marks, around the 21 hours, the representatives of the 2019 parties entered the Church Square, where the fifth ones formed a corridor through which the festivities passed and they reached the top of the platform and announce the beginning of the holidays santjoaneres.

With the full square, the Queen Major of Les Fogueres de Sant Joan, Inés Doménech, read his proclamation of parties in which invited all citizens to enjoy these days. The moment and year of the Quintà 2019 has arrived and with it, one more year of the San Juan festivities, which celebrate their 70 anniversary.

With the firing of a rocket, the cry of Visquen les Fogueres de Sant Joan in the voice of the major and children queens, Inés Doménech and Júlia Badenes, and the music of Xàbia and Fogueres, were inaugurated Les Fogueres de Sant Joan de Xàbia 2019.
