There are only three months until Les Fogueres de Sant Joan de Xàbia 2024 arrives, a festival that is going to be special this year. They celebrate the 75th anniversary. An anniversary that hides a great history of the town's festivities.
For months, the Fogueres Commission, together with the festival department and the special 75 years commission, have been working on a complete program of events that will fill the 2024 edition with joy, life and history.
During this morning, the Festival Councilor, Mavi Pérez, the president of the Fogueres Commission, Mª Carmen Andrés and the treasurer, David Cordero, have previewed some of the events that will complement the extensive Fogueres programming after meeting last night with the multitude of festive officials.
The 75th anniversary celebration will feature three presentations, two days of offerings, two days of floats, one day dedicated to the 75th anniversary and four concerts.

According to the representatives of Fogueres, the presentations - proclamations will be on June 7, 8 and 9; being children's, quintà and 75th anniversary special; all of them with the traditional parade from the Plaza de la Iglesia to the Plaza de la Constitución.
Special Day 75 years
June 22 will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary in which there will be three parades, a mass, the Tuna round to the queens and honorary wine. In the afternoon, around 19:30 p.m., the 75th anniversary offering will take place in which the ladies can participate. This will leave from the Plaza Marina Alta -Post Office- to the Church.
Pérez commented that a large participation is expected, even so he pointed out that "elderly people who need help to carry out the parade can be accompanied by family members or help will be offered from the Festival Commission."
At night, this celebration will culminate with a brotherhood dinner in the Plaza de la Constitución for 75th anniversary officials and companions, for which tickets can be purchased in advance.
The traditional offering for clubs, quintà, associations, anniversaries and the people in general will be on June 21.

Another of the events that citizens look forward to the most and look forward to is the float parade. On this occasion, its celebration is recovered in two days with the participation of the 75th anniversary, only queens and presidents, on June 23, and on the 24th, the usual parade with a children's, youth, quintà, anniversaries, schools, etc. commission.
Concerts
Music cannot be missing from the programming. In addition, the many orchestras, the Festival Commission has discovered who will be the artists who will perform in Fogueres Xàbia.
In this 2024, the Nit de Rock It moves forward on the calendar and will be on June 14 with the performance of Arsènic, Xavi Sarrià and The Tyets. The other big concert will arrive on June 21 with Monkey.

But this anniversary will not only be seen during the two weeks of festivities but also opens its doors months before with participation in the programming of the festivities in honor of Jesús Nazareno that includes a bow-making workshop the first days of the month of May; as well as a parade of costumes from the history of Xàbia clothing on April 30 in the Tent installed in the Plaza de la Constitución.
