Fogueres Xàbia celebrates its Mig Any with a festive day and paella contest

January 19 from 2024 - 13: 40

The parties in Xàbia don't stop. After the celebrations of Sant Antoni and Sant Sebastià comes, on January 27, the Mig Any of Fogueres. A festive and convivial day, open to the public, in which there will be a paella contest, music, afternoon and La Mocha concert.

In the presentation of this event, as prior to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Fogueres, the president of the Commission, Mª Carmen Andrés, accompanied by the Party mayor, Mavi Pérez and the treasurer of the Commission, David Cordero, has indicated that unlike last year, when this initiative was promoted, "this year we promote the celebration of Mig Any, not only to clubs, so the day is open to all neighbors who want to come with their group, group of friends, quintà, etc.

The Mig Any festive day will be at the Riurau d'Arnauda from 12:00 on Saturday, January 27th until midnight.

Given the forecast of large participation as was the case last year, the Fogueres Xàbia Commission has created a registration form to have a forecast of the number of participants. The Commission will provide, free of charge, the rice for the paella contest, the appetizer for each group of friends, as well as tables and chairs. In addition, they will install a drink bar at popular prices.

Participants in the paella contest must deliver the dish before 15:00 p.m. so that it can be evaluated by the jury. Subsequently, the party will continue with the concert by the group La Mocha starting at 17:00 p.m. and, at the end, a mobile disco until 00:00 a.m.

Those interested in participating and attending this festive event must fill out the form before Sunday, January 21.

The Fogueres Commission has indicated that minors may also attend this event as long as there is an adult under their responsibility.

Does the entire party need to be held in the Plaza de la Constitución?
They can't think that there are neighbors who have to put up with this.
Last week there was already a party. Discomovil until the wee hours of the morning.
    This week the same.
Does the festival commission have a crush on any of the residents of the Plaza de la Constitución?
Carnival in two weeks. Noise and dirt for neighbors.
I hope that the person who organizes all this gets a flat, a tourist chalet with foreign tourists and has the same thing as us.
