The Quintà de Les Fogueres de Sant Joan 2024 already has its representatives. During Saturday night, the names of the positions that will represent the next San Juan festivities in Xàbia, which will celebrate their 75th anniversary, were announced. The leading role will fall on Regina Major de la Foguera, Àngela Tachó, who has been elected by the majority with the votes of the fifth.
Screams and tears of joy marked the moment when Arantxa Pons, regina of 2023, announced Àngela's name as her successor. It was a unique, special and nerve-wracking moment. The top representative of the 2024 festivities said she was very nervous, "when they said my name I didn't believe it. I didn't expect this moment. It's true that I had thought about the possibility but I couldn't imagine it. It's been incredible. “I don't want this dream to end,” said Àngela.
Once elected, all that remains is to wait nine months to be proclaimed and for the reign to begin. A moment that Àngela is already looking forward to; "I really want it to be San Juan and share this experience with the ladies, presidents and the rest of the quintà."
Tachó will share the reign with his ladies, Nerea Vidal and Nahir Sánchez, and the presidents; four people she has known almost forever and have a very good relationship.
Àngela is a young woman who is in her second year of high school at the IES Antoni Llidó in Xàbia and wants to study Primary Education Teaching. She has always participated in the San Juan festivities, with the act of the Proclamation and the Proclamation being the ones she likes the most. This year, she will experience these events differently: "for me these two are very emotional and although the holidays haven't started, I don't want them to end."
The Regina Major de la Foguera 2024 wanted to dedicate a few words to her quintà, in which she thanked them for having placed their vote and trust in her to be the representative, "I am looking forward to the holidays so I can represent my quintà and the town of Xàbia.
