As every month last Thursday plenary session yesterday corresponding to August was held. The agenda consisted of nine points that developed normally and quickly. All items were approved unanimously by all political parties. Some of the highlights is the change representative at the Municipal Tourism Council in which Rosa Pérez García Ortuño replace Neus Cholbi.
On the other hand, the last item on the agenda was an opinion related to the "Premis 9 d'octubre Vila de Xàbia" concession in its 2013 edition. The solidarity award for the Intersociedad de Vecinos Hispanófilos was unanimously approved by their participation in social and solidarity causes as well as their collaboration with the department of social services of the Town hall. On the other hand, the prize for civic values will be awarded to Francisco Reus Boyd-Swan, PhD in Philology and professor at the UNED in Dénia, for his socio-cultural work and his research in language and literature.
