Aid to SMEs and the self-employed in Xàbia: the PSOE asks the government for explanations about those excluded

25 March 2024 - 18: 47

The PSOE of Xàbia has asked, in the plenary session held today at the Town hall, explanations about the situation of companies that are not beneficiaries of the aid called. According to the socialists, "there are applicants who do not appear as beneficiaries or as excluded."

At the beginning of the year, the Xàbia City Council published a call for financial aid for SMEs and the self-employed worth 315.000 euros, paid by the Alicante Provincial Council, "data that is omitted from the municipal website," the socialists point out. 65 self-employed workers and 44 SMEs were eligible for this aid and distributed the money allocated in accordance with the grading criteria.

But the problem, as the PSOE has criticized, is "the voluntary omission of the origin of the money." There were applicants who were denied aid and whose appeal was not resolved. Even more serious is the fact that other applicants never appeared either on the list of beneficiaries or on the list of rejected applications.

And the thing is, the socialist municipal group questions that "now, with the money already distributed, if any of the claims are successful or if any of the omitted requests have to be taken into account because they met all the requirements... how are they doing?" to pay if the money has already been distributed?

The Socialist Municipal Group regrets that "poor management by the government team could cause businessmen in Xàbia not to receive the aid they were entitled to or to have to return part of the money received if the distribution has to be recalculated."

For the PSOE of Xàbia "just the more we should be next to the local company, those who maintain jobs, create wealth and contribute more to the dynamism of Xàbia, sometimes in the context of serious difficulties, we find ourselves with this unfortunate situation." ».

That is why the Socialist Municipal Group demands that the local government "fix the situation that they themselves have created" and stand alongside SMEs and the self-employed, "that it offers them real solutions and aid and does not add to their problems with its lack." of organization and management capacity.

Response from the government team

Given these demands, the councilor responsible for the Treasury, Teresa Legay, explained that the department is studying the resources to respond to everyone, so this procedure is still in process.

Stupidity with a microphone in front of him, 12 years of constant ridicule as an incapable mayor, now to show that he is even worse as an opposition.
What a Dantesque spectacle these socialists offer, not only in Jávea, but also in the rest of Spain, what a cancer.

    Damn Chulvi, you are insufferable.
12 years of playing nard and laughing, and now it's all lessons on what and how to do things?

Come on, Chulvi, a little bit of shame, just a little bit, because I already know it's something very new for you.
