'What will Jávea and its people have?' by Juan Legaz Palomares

26 September 2021 - 07: 59

What will the light that comes out of that Jávea have, what will it have? What will that Bay have that bathes the skin of this lover who lives in enchantment in Jávea. What will that winged boat that sails have?

What will that orchard, those Cabos, that Montgó, that Bay that transmit effluvia of light and color with perfumes that intoxicate and water the heart and fill us with joy and smiles.

What will that sun that shines in Jávea have, what will it have? What will that edge of your Grava beach that with extreme joy has dragged me to that beach, which is a marvel, which gives light and life to its beautiful bay.

What will have that peace, that stillness, that permeates our entire soul. The love, solidarity and virtue of its people that everyone who knows her falls in love, considers her his companion and repeats that he will return again to enjoy her charms.

In Jávea the day dawns with a radiant light, emerging from the Cape San Antonio and at sunset it illuminates the mythical Montgó to give rest, confidence and peace at nightfall.

What will that light that awakens me, that infuses me with health, well-being and surrounds me with joy, and the breeze from that beautiful Bay will flood me with Love and Peace?

They bathe us with Love and Peace, your Montgó, your Bay with its crystalline waters and its green-blue color, your sun, your Church of St. Bartholomew Gothic style, your Church of the Puerto de la Mare de Déu de Loreto simulating the fisherman's boat and its twelve columns (someone told me they represented the twelve Apostles), your cozy hermitage of refuge of the Nazarene, your hermitage of Santa Llúcia… And a long history of the vicissitudes and events of a sublime Jávea.

The kindness of your people, and of course, your Nazarene that protects and preserves you from malaltias and guides you along the paths of health, goodness, solidarity, mercy, understanding and impregnates you with the sweetness that is breathed with the aromas of your flowery Mediterranean scent.

Your incomparable Festivities (San Sebastián, Nazareno and its Crosses, Fogueres de Sant Joan, Moros i Cristians, Festivities in Honor of the Mare de Déu de Loreto ...).

But in Jávea, in addition to the gastronomic and creative level, it is important how much fun we had, the experience in its entirety, and because of its sensuality, its intensity and the kindness of its people. What will Jávea have? And for what? I sit here on my beloved rock, my beloved Grava beachLet them bring me everything here and let it be what God wants. Jávea contains that great joy of living and laughing, of reminding us that life is a wonderful place and that it is always useless to get angry.

Let us declare that happiness is not corny and that friendship is the great feeling of the men and women who inhabit it. Here you come to live and enjoy, not to suffer.

Let us contemplate it without limit of any kind. Let's celebrate even the bad news. God created Jávea to remind us that he still expects a lot from us.

The best thing about Jávea is that it continues to be unmistakable, and that solidarity, friendship, tranquility, education and dignity gushes out.

Nobody feels strange on this earth. They are good people".

What will Jávea have, what will it have?

They pick up words how deeply you feel thank you

  2. Juan says:

I value things, not for what they are worth, but for what they mean.

I have also had a second home for more than 30 years and I completely agree. It is a beautiful and well deserved allegory

  4. Mariano says:

Nice allegory of the indisputable beauty of Jávea.
But the "friendliness" of its people is a subjective opinion, since there will always be some Javienses who receive by turning their backs on those of us who usually spend our days off at the Molt Honorable Villa de Jávea, opposing any improvement in infrastructure for the benefit of those of us who have had our second residence for almost half I say, sustaining the local economy of many javienses.

    What a great truth!!!!!
