Moors and Christians come together this weekend in Jávea

All the Moors and Christians festivities which takes place every year in honor of Sant Jaume, begins this weekend with the official presentation of the 12 "filás" on the stage set up on Avenida Jaume I.

The gala will feature Antonio Hernández as town crier and will be chaired by the president of the local board, Juan Vicente Álvarez Catalá

During the evening, the 2013 captain filà, Almoriscos, represented by Pedro Buigues Morató and Jana Cortés Cardona, as well as the flag bearers, Natalia García Llidó (Trabuquers) and Andrea Rodríguez Leal (Baharis). You will then enjoy a mobile disk on the same ride.

On Sunday, the program continues with a concert of festive music full of blackberries pasodobles marches and Christians in Seville Street, which start at 20'30 hours. The second part will be borne by the Musical Artistic Center of Xàbia and Dolçainers of the Colla Xirimitab's which, directed by Juan Francisco Sanjuán Rodrigo and guests Ildefonso Sancristóbal Ferriz and Francisco Valor Llorens, will interpret Andrés el Contrabandista, Avenmoriel, A Moro Vell, Sala i Soler and Folixa Asgaya.

The festivities resume on Tuesday with the visit and wreath of them filaes the Sant Jaume niche that is in town and Wednesday with alardo of musketry, the opening of the XV Medieval Fair located in the streets Sevilla and Andrés Lambert and the offering of flowers to San Jaime.
