As we reported in this newspaper barely a month ago, the Town hall de Jávea closed the 2013 accounts with more than four million euros in positive. Today the Mayor of JáveaJose Chuliv, and the mayor of Finance, Óscar Antón, have met to explain the fate of this remnant.
The Ministry regulates the fate of that money and only "financially sustainable" investments are allowed, that is, after its execution they do not entail any additional expenses. In addition, because the works have to start in this 2014 exercise, Antón has affirmed that projects will be carried out that "and they were ripe"Of the 4.285.145 euros of the remainder 3 million will be invested to which will be added 683.000 euros generated with Municipal Land Assets and 334.000 euros of extras of the first four months of 2014 add a credit modification of 4.085.000 euros to invest in improvements of the municipality of Jávea.
There will be an "asphalt operation" that will have the largest game of all with 1.200.000 euros. The performances will focus on the streets of the scattered that were left out of the last asphalt campaign. Another of the actions that will be carried out are those related to the expropriation of Villa Sarita (500.000 euros) in the First Montañar beach to demolish it and open sea Street Vicenza (293.000 euros). Within infrastructure investment it is also expected to undertake the rotunda of the Avenida del Arenal with Avenida del Plá with a budget of EUR 276.000.
One of the projects that demanded the residents of Xàbia will also take place thanks to this extra money game. Augusta Avenue road work will be undertaken, as there are parts in which the vial does not follow the path laid down in the General Plan and development center ajardinándolo Avenue (695.000 euros). The mayor of Finance has also indicated that the Puente de Triana, which is decadent and which has restricted the passage of heavy vehicles. The sidewalk renovation plan on Avenida del Puerto will continue (28.000 euros). The La Guardia treatment plant, which has been in poor condition for years and practically does not work, will be repaired (180.000 euros) and the site of the former Civil Guard house will be set up as a landscaped park (123.000 euros). The hermitage of Calvario de Jávea will also benefit from this credit modification with 132.000 euros for the roof and dome reform.
Other minor works will be the repair of the post portico (27.000 euros), the replacement of the pavement of the escoleta (11.000 euros), the completion of work in the "Cova del Barranc del Migdía" (16.000 euros), the adequacy of green dots (30.000 euros) and parks and gardens (82.000 euros) and the installation of batteries to optimize the electricity bill in municipal buildings. As Chulvi said "all works are important for the maintenance of Jávea as they generate jobs and also generate savings to the City".
Leaving aside the major investment works, there will also be internal credit modifications of "what it is left over in the first quarter of 2014 for some departments that started with little initial budget"Oscar Antón says.
