The Municipal Corporation of Xàbia held yesterday the plenary session corresponding to the month of May, via telematics, which was centered, in the requests and questions section on the current state of the beaches and their action plan for the summer season.
The councilors of the opposition asked about different questions among them, the Contingency Plan in the face of the pandemic situation, the parking in the Barraca cove o Portitxol, the location of the beach bars or the adaptation of the Marina Española beach.
From the government team, both the councilor for tourism and beaches, Antonio MiragallAs the mayor, José Chulvi, have indicated that measures are being studied to carry out the reopening of the beaches after phase 3, "We have been working on the Contingency Plan for weeks", Chulvi has indicated. For his part, Miragall has stated that continuously "there are new rules" and they are adapting to the required measures and added that they are also working on new posters that explain the directions to follow.
As for the adaptation of the beaches, to questions of the popular, Juanjo García, government officials have indicated that "The Tangó and Ambolo are closed due to detachment, it is known to the administration, but for this summer they will continue to be closed and in terms of the area of stones in front of the Casa del Cable it will be adapted again with rolled song like every year ".
During the occupation of the coves, García requested improvements to the road and parking in the Cala de Barraca, to which the local government has informed that a load study is being carried out to know the capacity of the beach, taking into account the new measures that must be taken.
From Compromís, Juan Cardona, asked about the beaconing, to which the responsible mayor, explained that the buoys are practically already installed in their entirety, and it is necessary to replace the missing ones during the storm, "but that in a few days they will all be in place."
And with regard to the installation of the beach bars, Chulvi has reported that a meeting with the winners of the concessions of these businesses is pending to take the measures according to what the Central Government marks.
