As part of the Social program for urgent employment and environmental protection, the town hall offered 30 temporary jobs for positions in the forestry brigade.

These tasks, in a municipality like Xàbia that has 3.000 hectares of mountains, are key to fire prevention in summer and to clean the ravines before the rainy season, so the work will take place this summer. It will also involve the cleaning of more than 100 streets and rural roads, some at the proposal of the Consell Agrari.
