This morning, representatives of the Brotherhood of Jesús Nazareno delivered the program of liturgical events corresponding to the procession of the descent of Jesús Nazareno to the mayor, Rosa Cardona, already the Councilor for Festivals, Mavi Pérez.
The women of the Brotherhood are in charge of organizing these celebrations, which will begin on Sunday, March 3, coinciding with the third Sunday of Lent, with the procession of lowering the image from its hermitage of Calvari to St. Bartholomew's Church, where it will remain until May 3.
Sunday's day includes the departure of the procession, made up of the parish Clergy and local authorities, from the church square at 18:30 p.m., to begin the descent from Calvary at 19:00 p.m. The next day, Monday the 4th, at 12:00 p.m., a solemn sung mass will be celebrated in honor of Jesús Nazareno, dedicated to the memory of the deceased brothers.
From that day on, the novena will begin with religious services scheduled daily at 19:00 p.m. until March 12.
The Brotherhood of Jesús Nazareno extends the invitation to the entire population to participate in the procession and the rest of the scheduled celebrations.
