Short but traditional and deep-rooted festivals. These are the celebrations in Xàbia in honor of Sant Antoni, patron saint of animals. In the first part, the events have been concentrated this weekend in the historic center of the town with the transfer and cream of the Pi which took place during the day yesterday, Saturday. A celebration of reunion, coexistence and tradition.
During this Sunday, the cavalry parade was held, which went from the old town to the Duanes de la Mar neighborhood and back to the historic center to carry out the blessing and distribution of bread.
Both in the Cremà del Pi and in the blessing of animals, hundreds of neighbors participated. Xàbia has shown, once again, its desire to maintain its roots, to follow tradition and of course, to protect its beloved pets.
