Xàbia endorsed yesterday, in plenary session, the institutional declaration of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) with which it adds to demand from the Government of Spain a new model of fair regional financing. The institutional declaration signed by all the spokespersons of the municipal groups with representation in the Javea Town Hall points out that the Valencian Community "continues to be the worst funded territory in the entire State. Our Community is 10% lower than the average. In 2022, each Valencian citizen will receive 215 euros less than the state average and 703 euros less than the best financed autonomy ".
The institutional declaration proposes to demand from the State an immediate reform of the financing and authorization of transitory measures while it is being processed; demand investments adjusted to the population weight and request that these investments are actually carried out; request the recognition of accumulated deficits and invite Valencian society to attend the demonstrations called by the Plataforma per un Finançament Just on November 20 at 18:XNUMX p.m. in Alicante, València and Castellón with the motto A poble unit for a just financing.
This demonstration already comes from before, when in 2017, 600 Valencian entities supported the demonstration promoted by the Platform for Finançament Just.
