El Javea Town Hall Yesterday, in full session, an institutional declaration was approved in favor of extending the season of the Arenal auxiliary office and the construction of a health center in this neighborhood.
The agreement, signed by all the political parties, requests the management of the Public Health department to extend the season in which the Arenal auxiliary medical office provides services, a module installed in the Jávea Park area that serves as summer reinforcement and to respond to the population increase due to tourism.
But in addition, it appeals to the Ministry to attend to the demographic reality of this urban nucleus that although decades ago was an eminently tourist point, today it has around 3000 permanent residents.
That is why the Consistory has agreed to start the procedures to make available to the Ministry of Health the necessary land for the construction of a new health center in Arenal -which would be the third in the population- to serve residents in this neighborhood and those in the disseminated south area, thus bringing public health closer to all residents.
The municipal request goes further and claims that this is a complete clinic and with much-needed services that until now are not provided in Xàbia, such as a basic radiology unit.
Already posts could ask for a new Arenal. One at the height of Jávea. That it does not flood and such.
