The English artist Sarah Beattie, resident in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, has turned landscapes and emblematic enclaves of the municipality into large-scale works of art. Beattie has been inspired by fragments of the covers of the magazine Al Corrent with images such as Cala Moraig or the dome of Santa María Magdalena, works exhibited in a café in Moraira.
Coincidentally, the Councilor for Communication of the Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Myra van 't Hoff, came across this exhibition and immediately contacted the artist, with whom an exhibition is already being organized in the municipal market.
Sarah Beattie is a lover of the coastline of the Marina Alta. The reason for most of his paintings are very recognizable coastal landscapes, although he has also made paintings more committed to everything that happens in the Marina Alta as his painting in homage to the deceased cyclists of Xàbia and that he gave to his family.
