The Xàbia Arenal Merchants Association and the XABlues Association, in collaboration with the Javea Town Hall, have announced the call for the first artistic contest to create the poster for the next Arenal Blues blues Festival, scheduled for 2024. In this inaugural edition, the contest has been aimed at the students of the Artistic Baccalaureate of the IES Antoni Llidó in Xàbia .
The central theme of the works that will compete in the contest must be blues music, and the use of any artistic technique is permitted, as long as it is reproducible in four-color process for printing. The winning student will receive a prize that includes a kayak route along the coast of Xàbia for two people, along with a commemorative T-shirt of the festival.
The objective of this contest is to involve young people with artistic and musical interests, specifically bringing them closer to blues music and encouraging their participation in the event. With this initiative, the organizing associations and the city council hope to strengthen the links between the young community of Xàbia and the rich tradition of blues, in addition to promoting artistic creativity among students.
The comxicotetion represents an exciting opportunity for talented young people from the Artistic Baccalaureate of IES Antoni Llidó in Xàbia to show their creativity and love for Blues music, contributing to the continued success of the Arenal Blues Festival in the community.
