A few days ago, the Socialists of the Marina Alta approved, at their county congress, held the Calp, their new Executive with the support of the 95% of the delegates. The Xabieros, Montserrat Villaverde, Cesc Camprubí and Esperanza Morais will occupy the Ministries of Equality, Tourism and Studies and Programs, respectively.
Only two blank votes broke the unanimity around the list that, parity and plural, in terms of the representation of a large number of groups through the elected members, combines youth with experience.
The Socialists also approved the list of the new Regional Committee unanimously, in the same way that the management report of the previous Regional Executive Commission was approved, which was presented by former Secretary General Toni Vaquer.
The new Executive was formed taking into account the characteristics of certain profiles to make it functional. The Dianense Jaime Sendra will be the president, accompanied by the Vergelina Pepa Pons, one of the oldest socialist militants in the region. The right hand of Mengual, holding the Secretariat of Organization, will be María María Femenia calpina. Calp will also be represented by Ascen López, in the Secretariat of Citizen Participation and Transparency; and Marco Bittner, Secretary of the Environment and Natural Parks. Xaló, with Josette Ruso and Marbel Avellà obtains representation in the Secretariats of Occupation and Regional Reactivation.
Likewise, Dénia will have Paco Roselló, Sandra Gertrudix and Ángel Serrano as secretaries of Electoral Action, Business and Industry and Communication. The list is completed by Francesc Antoni Giner, secretary of Sustainable Urbanism, Infrastructures and Water Resources; Benito Manolo Juan, Secretary of Culture and Traditions; Heula Morales, secretary of Health and Social Welfare; the stoner Rosa Avellà, Secretary of Youth; and Joanvi Fornés de La Xara, Secretary of Education and Sports.
Amendments approved
In this Regional Congress, which was attended by the provincial secretary of the PSPV-PSOE and Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, and the socialist congressman Herick Campos, two amendments were approved. The first, presented by Javier Scotto and approved unanimously, aimed at expanding the section referring to Equality, explaining that "There is no socialism without equality and respect for sexual diversity", as well as committing to "Vindicate the rights of the LGTBI collective" y "Defend educational training in sexual diversity".
The other amendment, presented by a group of militants from the Xàbia group, deals with the creation of a plan, together with the Water Consortium of Marina Alta, "With the objective of coordinating the management of water and water resources". This was approved by a very large majority, although with the abstention of one of the delegates.
