El Club Lyons, Todos Juntos Jávea and Carousel Beneficial Union collaborate with Servicios Sociales from Xàbia. Specifically, between the three groups they have contributed the amount of 13.000 euros to support and collaborate with the different social care programs that they coordinate from the municipal department.
The councilor responsible for the area of social attention, Pepa Gisbert and the mayor, José Chulvi, have received Tuesday, the representatives of three of the groups that provide constant support: the Club Lyons, that today has donated 3.000 euros in shopping vouchers for Supermarkets MasyMas that will be distributed this Christmas among the most vulnerable families; the Together association Jávea that with more than 5.000 euros it has paid part of the furniture and material for the new headquarters of the Tapis, as well as a laughter therapy workshop and therapeutic sessions for the users; and the Carousel Charitable Union that 5.000 has also provided euros that will be used to cover specific needs of minors in situations of risk of exclusion (such as paying school meals or buying eyewear or dentist, among others).
El Department of Social Services Xàbia He has thanked the support of the charities that collaborate throughout the year with the different needs of the department. Likewise, the Department of Social Services of Xàbia has held its monthly meeting in which all the professionals and resources are coordinated, in addition to sharing the evolution of the programs and the problems or new needs detected.
The mayor personally congratulated the workers of this department for their great involvement and sensitivity when it comes to managing all the cases they receive.
