The sixteenth edition of the Xàbia Donut Race already has a date. It will be next Sunday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. from the CEIP Graüll athletics track. The race, despite being held in the month of April, is one more event in the commemoration of Working Women's Day, 8M.
As usual, the Xàbia Donut Race consists of a five-kilometre route that can be done either running or walking.
In its solidarity aspect, all the benefits obtained will go to the Tapis de Xàbia, which helps with workshops for people with psychosocial disabilities, and to the Carena Association, which provides psychological support to people with cancer.
People interested in participating in this event can formalize their registration today on the official Somesport website.
New arrivals
Its organizers, the women of the Llebeig Esportiu Club and the Xàbia Equality Department have come together again to promote equality. To this end, and as a novelty, this year the number of participants has increased to 1.500, opening registration and the celebration of this festive day of coexistence to men.
From Llebeig, Madelane Powell, has explained that to provide maximum facilities, registrations can be made both online on the somesport website and in stores: Esports Colau de Xàbia, Dénia and Ondara, in Botiga Decuero and in Inmobiliaria Llidomar until on April 3. The donation is 5 euros and a commemorative t-shirt will be distributed.
From the Llebeig Club, the Department of Equality, in charge of Fatima Jarjor, and the mayor of Xàbia, Rosa Cardona, have encouraged all neighbors to participate and collaborate in this important cause: one to make equality visible and the other to show solidarity.
Free preparation training
The president of the Club Esportiu Llebeig, Madelane Powell, has reported that they have organized two days of free training for all those people who want to start or prepare for this course. The days of the 30-minute classes are Wednesdays and Fridays at 19:00 p.m. on the CEIP Graüll Track.
