This noon, the Mayor of Xàbia José Chulvi has announced the changes of its local executive to face the second half of the legislature. The great novelty is the inclusion in its Citizens for Jávea (CpJ) team that, in the coming days, will assume several delegations.
Despite having an absolute majority, Chulvi has decided to agree with Citizens for Jávea. As a result of these negotiations, the first mayor will include in his team the two councilors of the independent party, Juan Ortolá y Susana Ern.
Hereinafter, Ortolá will assume Citizen Security, Civil Protection, Taxis, Transportation and Mobility, in addition to being Fourth Deputy Mayor and being part of the Governing Board. For his part, Ern will take Heritage, Market, Markets and Fairs.
Isabel Bolufer leaves; Pepa Gisbert takes on Urbanism
Another change in the equator of the legislature is the goodbye of Isabel Bolufer who has decided to leave politics. With his departure, the list runs and, therefore, will Doris Courcelles who returns to politics as the new councilor of the Chulvi executive for the delegations of Foreign Residents and Urbanizations.
In addition, Pepa Gisbert change delegation. The until now Councilor for Citizen Security, will occupy the Urban Planning delegation, which Bolufer directed. She will also be the first Deputy Mayor. CpJ was the third most voted political force in the 2019 municipal elections. Socialists and CpJ have previously governed together, in the coalition government (PSOE, CpJ and Xàbia Democràtica) that came out of the polls in 2011. Now, 6 years later the independent training returns to rule in Xàbia.
Councilors' salaries
This restructuring supposes that an exclusive dedication is eliminated, that of Bolufer and the partial ones are maintained (3), one of them will be for Ortolá. There will be 6 councilors without dedication and who will only receive compensation for attendance.
