Last Friday, June 9, the exhibition of the 41st Vila de Pego National Painting Contest was inaugurated. An important contest where the xabiero Tomás Sivera got an honorable mention of the two that were awarded. With his work Looking for the coast, Sivera returned to make reference to the disadvantaged people and immigrants as well as in the winning work of the Contest of Benissa.
The xabiero painter was very satisfied with this award, "I am very happy, the jury is really liking my new works, the new job, it's a different technique and job. In this line there is much to study and investigate so I will continue for several years ".
With this mention, Tomás is the second contest in which it obtains recognition in this year 2017. The first was last April where he won the first prize of the Contest Salvador Soria of Benissa and now this second prize.
Sivera goes ahead with the promotion of his works. At the moment it is presented to new contests although it is pending its final denomination.
In the National Painting Comxicotetion Vila de Pego, the winner was Ana Chacón and the two accésits were for Tomás Sivera Vallés and Carolina Valls. The jury was composed by Ramón Castejón, Román de la Calle, Paco López Gómez and Antonio Barroso.
