Christmas in Jávea: market, Santa Claus, Kings and other plans

Christmas in Xàbia has all the traditional ingredients, except snow. Christmas markets, delivery of letters to Santa Claus and the pages of the Magi, Three Kings and decorated streets. Among the traditional ornamentation, the one that is installed in the monumental trees in the Plaza de la Iglesia, in the historic center of Xàbia, on the Paseo del Pintor Joaquín Sorolla, in Duanes de la Mar and on the promenade of the tennis player stands out David Ferrer in the Arenal Beach.

Christmas market

The different Associations of Merchants of Xàbia, as well as artisans, together with the Town hall They organize a Christmas market to face the Christmas holidays. Nadal Jove i Esportiu

One of the activities that are organized during these Christmas periods and that bring together hundreds of people every year, is the Nadal Jove i Esportiu. For three days, the Palau d'Esports Miguel Buigues Andrés becomes the epicenter of leisure. Inflatables, zip lines, video games, a climbing wall, face painting and dance exhibitions are some of the activities that take place at this event during the afternoon hours.

New Years Eve

The end of the year celebration is another of the highlights during the days of Christmas. For a few years, in the historic center of Xàbia, the celebration of the chimes is brought forward at noon. The meeting point is the Plaza de la Iglesia.

Aimed at children and in a great festive atmosphere, the attending public consumes, on this occasion, its 12 mandarin segments.

In 2023, the last day of the year comes with a novelty, the celebration of the San Silvestre race. For the first time, the streets of the historic center of Xàbia will be filled with runners, walkers, dogs and costumes to say goodbye to the year in a different and fun way.

The pages and the Three Kings Parade

A few days before the parade, between January 2 and 4, the pages of the Three Wise Men come to collect the children's letters in the different urban centers of the town. Likewise, since 2021, a Royal Camp has been set up in the Riurau d'Arnauda on January 3 and 4, in the afternoon, where the pages also collect the letters and the little ones can take photos with them.

La Three Kings It is also celebrated between these two nuclei: on the 5th at 17:00 in the afternoon, the Three Wise Men disembark in the port of Xàbia and parade through the streets of Duanes. At 19:00 p.m. the parade continues towards the town.
