Mateo Bustos, winner of Sub-23 in the Olympic Triathlon of Valencia

The triathlete, Mateo Bustos, of TriBenitatxell, climbed to the top of the podium in the Sub-23 category in the Olympic Triathlon distance that took place in Valencia.

Bustos had a great performance since he was also second in the absolute classification with a total time of 2: 08.59. He entered 5.38 of the winner of the event, Alberto Rodríguez, of the AD Triathlon Ecosport Alcobendas. The third to cross the finish line was Ismael Madrid of the ATL, who finished the test in a time of 2: 09.28.

In the first swimming segment over the distance of 1.500 meters, that of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell came out in the ninth square of the water. In the cycling segment, of 40 kilometers, he managed to recover five positions and scored the fourth fastest time. In the last segment of the running race, on 10 kilometers, he made the fourth fastest time thanks to which he climbed the podium as the best Sub-23.

Mateo Bustos will be one of the references to take into account in the next TriXàbia that will take place this Sunday in Xàbia.

Juan Zaragozí also participated in this same Olympic distance, which carried out the test with a total time of 2: 40.37. His partials were in swimming, 29.49, cycling, 1: 10.07 and running, 55.02.

Simon Guido finished eighth in Super Sprint

Another representative of the TriBenitatxell, Simón Guido participated in the Super Sprint distance, where he had an excellent performance finishing in eighth place. Simon's total time was 36.15.

In the cycling segment it was not very fine and after doing a partial 5.47 in the 350 meters of swimming came out of the water in the 19 position. Subsequently, on the bike he improved some positions in the 10 kilometers to reach the last segment of the foot race on 2.500 meters where he gave everything and entered the finish line in the eighth place.
