Marcos Gisbert: «85% of the Xàbia General Plan is executed»

18 October 2016 - 07: 30

Marcos Gisbert was planning councilor by the CDS in the late and early 80 90. Now that the future General Plan Xàbia debate from Xabia.com think it is an authoritative voice as he was the architect with the rest of councilors from the time of the approval of the General Plan 1990 that is still alive.

Gisbert does not tire of repeating that the 85% of said plan is executed "and I would never say that we have to make a new General Plan but update the one that exists. With a new General Plan, what would happen is that it would be expanded and this would not be good for Xàbia, since the value of the land will be worth more when it can't be built, "Marcos Gisbert said.

Gisbert says that the day a person wants to buy a house will have to do so by purchasing a home made or tearing down an old building a new, "If this case were to occur there would be prosperity for all the xabieros since if they continue to build on new land we will continue in misery. We must understand that the PGOU is well and has qualifications of 30 years ago that today the law does not protect what that touches ", affirms the former town councilor.

Therefore indicates Gisbert "It would be good if the current rulers adapted the PGOU to the new law, expanding the plots to encourage investors with more meters of construction. There are currently apartment blocks that are abandoned and built by people from outside, and in one thing yes agree, I have immense joy that the government team has realized that it is not about more people coming, it is about bringing more money and spending it here "Says Marcos Gisbert.

The future of Xàbia

For the former CDS councilor and one of the creators of the current General Plan, since it dates from 1990, the future for Xàbia is in the big investors who then have a gardener and several maintenance people. And, according to Gisbert, in the PGOU "it would not expand urban and urbanizable areas but would restrict" and at the same time, he proposes that the best thing is not to make small apartments but to make hotels or something that contributes.

The current policy

Marcos Gisbert has also referred to local politics, affirming that "The absolute majority sometimes makes one trust, I was a councilor with 6 of the PSOE, 6 of the Popular Party, 4 of the CDS and 1 of the Bloc, we understood the four parties, we left politics at home and wanted the best for Xàbia and in the General Urban Planning Plan we agreed ".

So says Gisbert, "The meetings started at 9 in the morning and we finished at 10 at night, because of exhaustion the points were discussed and approved." Also, our hero today said that "The bad technical office should be called an urban planning office, it should have the initiative of the people, not the other way around." El town hall has many action plans "They are half developed and do not finish when they could have the land for green areas, parking lots or expand the avenue of the Port which are mandatory transfer land to the town hall to definitively link the town and the port"Said Marcos.

Marcos Gisbert ends by reflecting citizens: "The xabieros need to travel, we would appreciate our people more because there is no other equal, then you will see people who with a worse people have had more imagination and have done things better than you."
