The residents of Jávea have already voted on the projects that will be carried out with the participatory budgets

November 07 from 2013 - 01: 56

The auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura was filled with people to vote on the projects of the participatory budgets. There were 21 projects that were presented on a list and the attendees had to number three, the option that seemed most important to them, number two the important option, and number one the least important option.

After the attendees voted on the projects and after just over an hour of counting, the results came out. The most voted option was the installation of a climbing wall on the Trinquete wall with 31.000 euros followed by roofing and lighting in the Riurau d'Arnauda with 85.000 euros. The third most voted option was the paving and signaling of Avenida Juan Carlos I with a budget of 55.000 euros. The fourth option was tied for the installation of a 7-a-side soccer field in the sandbank area with 150.000 euros and the installation of anti-jellyfish nets for 45.000 euros.

The sixth option was the re-equipment of 27 routes of the Ambolo and Santa Lucía climbing school with 5.120 euros followed by the option that involves the most cost, converting a mill into a museum with pieces of grinding with 170.000 euros. The mayor of citizen participation, Cesc Camprubí, assured that the last option was outside the total budget of 500.000 euros that will be allocated to participatory budget projects. For this reason, if this last option does not enter the projects to be carried out, the eighth voted project will go on, which in this case was the endowment with Ping-Pong tables, table football and a multi-purpose area for young people for 8.000 euros.
