The political parties of Xàbia have not yet started talks for any agreement

01 June 2023 - 10: 12

The question of who will govern Xàbia continues without being cleared. A few days have passed since the elections, but it seems that the situation has stopped. Political parties must reflect and think carefully about what decision to make.

The result of the elections last Sunday did not leave a clear winner. The party that obtained the most votes was the PSOE, but it did not obtain an absolute majority. The PP was left only 34 votes behind the socialist party, so both must seek support from the other formations that have achieved representation in order to govern.

Of course, Ciudadanos por Jávea is the key party in this final decision. The two councilors obtained are the key to give the rod of command to one party or the other. Without a doubt, a pressure situation that the independent team must think about.

Thus, and despite the information published by other media in which it was ensured that meetings had already begun on the right wing, the parties involved flatly deny this statement.

From Ciudadanos por Jávea they state that "we have decided to take this week to rest and reflect. There is no pact. We are obliged to deny what has been stated."

From CpJ they assure that "we have always been clear and transparent and we will continue to be so but everything has its times. We do not understand the intention to distort, pressure or influence the negotiations that can be carried out starting next week".

From the Partido Popular Xàbia they also denounce, through their social networks, the falsehood of the news, "we want to make it clear that there is no closed agreement. The absolute priority of Populares Xàbia is and always have been the residents of Xàbia. Now more than ever, it is crucial to focus on Xàbia, its people and its future. Therefore, we will dedicate all our efforts to working for the benefit of our town".

Like they're on holidays. When they're done, they'll start dealing with the votes.

  2. airbnb says:

Day of rest and reflection. It's been a horrible month putting up posters...

  3. Germán says:

More than half of Jávea has said CHULVI NO.

But there is the ex-waiter smiling, as if it were not with him.

    Pathetic.

  4. Antonio says:

What VOX have to do is vote for Rosa, they are not here to demand much... That bunch of crazy people accept now, so they can be in charge and figure, which is what they like!

  6. Lucas says:

Vox in Jávea are four morons that what they have to do is sign the pact NOW!!!

    • Erika says:

You demonstrate your education and democracy by insulting citizens who have freely exercised their right to vote. Of course, that's how those who don't think work. Ultimately, what a pity...

  7. come on my CPJ says:

look how the socialists shut up because they know they ARE DEAD. And Vox screw him and accept what is left over, that enough that the moron is going to have a little pay in exchange for raising the bosses: Mavi and Rosa. Come on.

    • Erika says:

It's not even worth answering. I keep saying that what a pity for people who only know how to insult and do not respect those who do not vote for them!

  8. Kernels. says:

Mavi, if she had wanted to vote for Ponset, she would have voted for him directly, convince Carmen but not with VOX, per l'amor de Deu, not with VOX. You owe it to us for having blindly trusted you the first time.

  9. Sara says:

What would be truly feminist is for the candidates to decide with whom they want to govern for themselves and not let themselves be controlled by the lords that we all know are in charge of their parties. Hopefully I get a positive surprise for once

Ortolà again in the socialist government?
It will not be for convenience?

  11. Pink says:

The political class disgusts me, now to sell itself to the highest bidder.
    Threw up

  12. VOX is the way says:

Between VOX and Podemos/Bildu/ERC… welcome, VOX!

    • Paqui says:

In xabia there is neither bildu nor erc and we can not have representation ... so there is no reason to excuse welcoming Vox

      • VOX is the way says:

That in Spain you agree with that criminal and violent garbage and nothing happens, and here you can agree with VOX and everything will go better than with Chungui.
