The 'II Marxa Solidaria' of the IES Nº1 raises 1300 euros and gathers 600 participants

The IES nº 1 of Xàbia has celebrated this morning the II Marxa Solidaria which has gathered around 600 participants in a route of almost 4 kilometers and has managed to raise a total of 1263,57 euros. The benefits obtained go to 50% of Creu Roja Xàbia and Pallassos d'Hospital.

On this day of solidarity, the events began with the reading of a manifesto by six students of 1 º ESO B: Gemma, Sofia, Irene, Estefany, Aitana and Karla. The manifesto reported that this event was done because "We speak and believe in the same universal languages. The language of sport, music and solidarity."

In its first edition, that of 2018, the march collaborated with the NGO Save The Children, "Two NGOs, Red Cross Xábia and Pallassos d'Hospital, have our support this year." The students have also mentioned a phrase of the well-known Cantinflas, with which they reflect this work done at the center: "The first obligation of every human being is to be happy, the second, to make others happy."

After the manifesto, a batucada performance took place and the 'Marxa' began with the previous warm-up by Clara Juan. Students from the 6th year of the Port de Xàbia school and CEIP l'Arenal.

Inside the institute, a healthy provision of fruit and nuts has been offered, and throughout the morning various health workshops have been carried out by the Red Cross and European Friends, and the RCP health emergencies workshop by students from the center of the auxiliary branch of nursing, as well as taking tensions.

In this solidarity day have also been part of the group of Volunteers Balcony to the sea and Civil Protection who have made a demonstration with water cannons. From the Local Police has been launched the information of the guardian agent and from SVS have explained questions about Maritime Rescue with a boat and a jet ski. He has also collaborated with Salmerón Drones, who has filmed the race from the air.

From these lines, congratulations to the group of professors of the IES nº1, Erades, Carles, Tere and Isabel, for the work done.
