El Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, met with the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, the general director of Local Administration, Toni Such and the councilman of Urban Scene, Paco Torres, they talked about the project of the municipal swimming pool. The first step will be the inclusion of this infrastructure in the budget of the Generalitat of 2017. With this first item the tender and drafting of the project will be covered. Subsequently, in the budgets of 2018, the necessary departure for the execution of the pool will be enabled.
This action is part of a Law Decree promoted by the Consell to collect those projects that were not fulfilled by the previous government of the Generalitat. It should be remembered that in 2005 the Javea Town Hall signed an agreement with the Generalitat for which the consistory was committed to build a trinquet in exchange for receiving the municipal pool. The trinquet was inaugurated in 2010, while the previous regional government never came to execute the infrastructure to which it had committed.
For his part, José Chulvi expressed his satisfaction at the fact that finally the pool becomes a reality in this term.
We hope that the promise that the covered pool was made in this legislature is a reality since it is very necessary for the inhabitants of Xabia that we have to move by facultative prescription to the Benitachell pool.
