The Standing Committee of the Provincial Executive of PSPV-PSOE in Alicante, approved the composition of the leadership of the Socialist group in the Diputación de Alicante, while has appointed José Chulvi, Mayor of XàbiaAs a candidate for president of the institution.
Regarding the composition of the leadership of the Socialist group in the Provincial Council, the proposal approved unanimously by José Chulvi appointed as spokesperson, Toni French, mayor of Alcoi, as president; Carolina Gracia, mayor of Orihuela, as deputy spokesman and Purificación M. Pérez as secretary.
This proposal was presented on Thursday 16 all deputies of the socialist group in the Provincial de Alicante and ratified that evening at the meeting of the permanent committee of the Provincial Executive headed by its general secretary, David Cerdán, who highlighted "unity and good understanding of the whole group and continuing the party at the time of choosing the direction of the team that will represent us in the Council".
Cerdán has highlighted the important role that the socialist group will play in these four years. "The objective is still to remain useful to municipalities, providing resources and support projects that can improve the lives of their neighbors"I affirm.
At the same time, Cerdan, Socialist spokesman in the council in recent years, said that the Socialists will also play a determining role "in now to modernize the institution and claim a greater degree of closeness to the reality of the towns and cities from the province".

In relation to what happens in the full constitution of the Diputación de Alicante and will determine the presidency of it, Cerdán said that since the PSPV-PSOE has worked with "honesty and transparency, and clear ideas at all times".
