This past Sunday, October 17, after the celebration of the solemn mass in honor of Jesús Nazareno, the traditional uploading of the image of Jesús Nazareno to the hermitage of Calvario. On this occasion, the transfer was made in pilgrimage, instead of the usual procession.
Despite the bad weather, the Brotherhood of the Nazarene was able to carry out the pilgrimage. Neighbors, faithful and parishioners accompanied Jesús Nazareno and the Virgen de los Dolores on this special climb. And, despite the "normalized" situation of the pandemic, the pilgrimage had all the security protocols.
The image of Jesús Nazareno has remained longer than usual in the Parish of San Bartolomé due to the situation of the pandemic. He had been in the Parish of San Bartolomé since the beginning of March. The Brotherhood waited for the health situation to allow organizing a simple act for the transfer of the image in this year in which the pandemic has prevented the normal celebration of its festivals and processions. Now it is expected to return to normality and next March celebrate the procession of Jesus Nazareno down to the Church of St. Bartholomew.
