councilman Juan Ortolá explained that an operation composed of Volunteers of Civil Protection and Volunteer Firefighters of Balcón al Mar will monitor the forest masses of the municipality until Monday of San Vicente. The service will have two motor-driven vehicles and will be coordinated with the Local Police and the local fire station.
This preventive measure, according to Ortolá, tries to avoid any incident that could lead to a fire. In this sense, the councilor has called on citizens not to light fire or pyrotechnic material in spaces of risk, something that can trigger a natural catastrophe, as has happened this week in Barx. It is also requested that the recommendations of the volunteers be complied with and that they abide by the existing indications in the public or leisure areas.
