January 13 from 2014 - 00: 00

The festival of San Antonio had its big day of celebration on Sunday 12 January although Saturday afternoon was celebrated the traditional burning of a monumental pine that was mounted on the street San Antonio. Many were the neighbors of Jávea who met in this traditional act before the day of the blessing of the animals. On Sunday, the meeting place was the Plaza de la Constitución where on the 13: 00 h. the blessing of the animals and mascots of the javienses took place. However, the day began with the parade of cavalry that began at 11: 30 from San Antonio Street and traveled the vast majority of the town of Jávea.

After a long journey they made a break in the Asylum Brothers Cholbi before reaching the square of the Constitution for the animals to rest on a day that went clear and sunny. After nearly two hours parade cavalry reached the end of travel where they joined other animals. Dogs were the most numerous but all kinds of animals accompanied by their owners gathered.

After organizing themselves in a large line, the owners passed one by one with their animals who were blessed by the parish priest of the Church of St. Bartholomew, Don Vicente Gilabert. Before going through the blessing, a muffin with a picture of the saint and a raffle number with which an image of San Antonio was raffled was distributed to the attendees.
