Iván Bisquert, Julián Meneses, Juan Bolufer and Jaime Ortuño participated in the 'Ironman 70.3 Marbella'

The trialtetas, Iván Bisquert, Julián Meneses, Juan Bolufer and Jaime Ortuño, were the representatives of the Trillebeig Club in the Ironman 70.3 Marbella. A test that was very hard, especially in the swimming sector where the bad conditions of the sea forced the organization to cut the initial route of 1.900 meters, which remained in 1.500. It was in this sector that there was the tragic death of a British triathlete after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest.

The bicycle segment was liked by the participants, with 90 kilometers that started in the well-known Golden Mile and after crossing Marbella, it passed through the Port of Ojén and the towns of Monda, Coín and Cartama before returning to the transition zone in Puerto Banús.

Finally, the race on foot consisted of two laps of 10,5 km to complete the 21 kilometers by the Maritime walk of Marbella with the goal located in the sand of the same beach of Puerto Banus.

The total times of the race were 5: 27.01 for Iván Bisquert, being the best of the Xabieros. Juan Bolufer completed the test with a total time of 6: 27.17. Jaime Ortuño, who initially was not going to be in the game due to an injury, entered the finish line with a time of 6: 27.20. Julián Meneses completed the three segments with a record of 7: 13.21.

The winner of the test was David McNamee with a time of 3: 57: 47, the same as the second placed Leifermann. The third position corresponded to Andreas Dreitz to 56 "away from the winners.
