The Granadella Trail of Xàbia has two very successful days

Sport has been the protagonist during this weekend in Xàbia. It was disputed granadella Trail 2024. An event that was celebrating its 10th anniversary and that brought together a large number of athletes to tour one of the best mountain circuits where you can also appreciate beautiful views of the coast.

On this occasion, Granadella Trail, organized by the Club Esportiu Llebeig Xàbia, has been divided into two days. The first of them took place this past Saturday with the Sprint and Promo tests of 14 and 4,5 kilometers respectively. Around 600 people participated in this event. Both tests covered part of the Granadella Forest Park.

But the sporting fun continued in the afternoon. It was the moment for the little ones with the departure of the Mini Trail; a test with a route designed for little athletes.

On the second day, this Sunday, the queen test was held, the 26 kilometer race. The athlete from Xàbia, Edu Vallés, crossed the finish line being the first local with a time of 2 hours 23 minutes, thus surpassing his personal record.

The mayor attended this sports festival Rosa Cardona, by Sports Councilor Toni Molina and the president of the Llebeig Athletics Club, Madelane Powell, who presented the trophies; as well as dozens of volunteers, Local Police, Civil Protection and the Red Cross who have made the organization and the test good and pass without incident.
