31 March 2019 - 16: 57

The Jávea 678 already has 1 numbers, although we can say that they are all winners. Overcome the 678 kilometers of the Non-Stop Jávea 678 Ultratriathlon It has more than merit. The mental and physical strength of each of the participants is an example to follow for all and an example of the motto of the athletes, Yes you can.

The first to reach the finish line were Hugo Lafuente, José Manuel López and Rubén Espinosa, who together formed the INCOMPLETE. Without having it defined, the three came together to carry out the initial purpose. And on the one hand, José Manuel was going to perform this test with Rafa Jaramillo, a blind athlete who joined the challenge, but finally could not attend. On the other hand, there was the team formed by Hugo, César Guilbert and Aarón Reza, that this week we knew the news that César and Aarón had not been able to fly to Spain because of problems with plane tickets.

So, both athletes participated individually, but as the union is strength and in this kind of solidarity tests, where you fight for those who can not, Hugo and José Manuel joined as a team with a friend of Hugo who came to cheer him up Rubén. The three have done the test, partially, by relay, finishing it in 48 hours 50 minutes, specifically to the 1: 50 hours of the dawn of Sunday 31 of March, after having started it on Friday 29 at 7: 40 hours.

The swim segment it was done individually, Lafuente and López completed the 11,4 km each and Rubén joined later. In the bike course, although the first round was made jointly by Hugo and José Manuel, the rest of the laps were in relays, with José Manuel doing three more of 67 km each (201 km plus the 67 km of the first joint round) , Hugo (two and a half laps counting the first joint, being a total of 167,5 Km) and Rubén who covered three laps (201 km).

The 126,6 km of running on foot was another of the challenges they made alternating. "There were sections that we did all together and others individually", José Manuel López explained to Xàbia.com.

Undoubtedly, a sum of solidarity kilometers that exceeds expectations. This team has made more 678 km "for those who cannot"says Lopez, who is carrying out the I'MPOSSIBLE365 project, which through participation in various sporting challenges, tries to raise funds to help those people who are not going through a good situation and need help either in the form of food or in the form of new infrastructures. In addition, José Manuel works on the project to build a school in Guatemala, "Thinking about all of them helps you move on and finish the tests".

For next year, Lopez hopes to return to Jávea 678 with the challenge and purpose of this, do it with Rafa Jaramillo.

Francisco Javier Trujillo

We have talked about the feat of the athletes who have managed to reach the goal as a team, but as we indicated at the beginning of this report, the merit is of course also for those who achieve it alone. Francisco Javier Trujillo Cabrera was the first to reach the finish line as an individual athlete. They were the 4 at dawn on Sunday and in the rain when Trujillo completed the 678 km of the Triple Ironman Jávea 678 Non-Stop.

The Tenerife was facing this comxicotetion as its biggest sporting challenge so far and with only one goal, to get on the podium, and challenge achieved. Fran had participated and won the victory in Ultraking of 2018, where he was able to complete the 515 kilometers without stopping.

Fran Trujillo maintains his collaboration with the Canary Islands Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy and in this race he will again campaign to encourage blood donation, something he considers "fundamental, since it is an altruistic gesture that costs us nothing and helps save lives", he assured in another media.

Jordi and Josín, 2º and 3º

The Catalan Jordi Costa and the Spaniard Josín López were the ones who occupied the second and third place respectively of this Non-Stop Jávea 678 Ultratriathlon organized by the personal trainer Manuel Luna and with the collaboration of the photographic company Orión Jávea that has been broadcasting through YouTube the course of the test. Josín came to this comxicotetion in solidarity with the challenge of showing the disease of ELA.

Behind Costa and Lopez entered the goal, the Madrid jose gil, in fourth place, which showed his struggle for the Tourette Syndrome. Carlos Pena did it in the fifth place and Felipe Inda (Piojo), coming from Mexico, in sixth position.

Jose Padilla and Ricardo Abad Martínez caused a loss. Both made the entire swim test and much of the bike segment, in fact, Abad completed five of the eight laps that consisted of the 540 km circuit.

For his part, José Padilla, made these statements in his profile of social networks: "The almost 12km and 4: 30 hours of swimming in the sea with the water at 15 have been able to with me, I came out of the water very, very touched of the hypothermia that I passed, then I used clothes for the bike with which I normally go to 5 degrees below zero without problems in linares but it did not get warm in the km 270 had not yet warmed in. With 4 degrees of thermal sensation and a beastly humidity at 12 at night it had been hours since I could not eat, trembling and without raising my pulse I decided not to continue, to do other 270km of cycling and then to run 3 marathons in these conditions is not possible. It is the first to see that I give up a test, but to continue would have seriously jeopardized my health, I want to continue waging war for a long time. A decision that has taken me a lot to make and I am sorry I did not meet the expectations, but there will be other challenges. "

The Non Stop Jávea 678 Ultratriathlon has not been easy, "The temperature of the water of the beginning of the test together with the change of weather and rain has made the course a bit difficult, but we have shown that IF YOU CAN", the athletes reiterate.
