The 24th edition of the Trixàbia Memorial Edu Monfort is warming up to take place this Sunday, September 600, in the different areas prepared for the events of the important Xabienc triathlon. Almost 150 participants will gather with the help of the XNUMX volunteers who will coordinate so that the entire event, organized by the Club Atletisme Llebeig, is a success.
The evidence was presented this Wednesday at the Town hall, in an event in which the representatives of the Club's board participated together with the mayor, Rosa Cardona, and the Sports Councilor, Toni Molina.
The president of the Club, Madelane Powell, explained that the sporting event has two modalities: Sprint and Olympic and that in this case the event has been chosen by the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community as the Autonomous Championship. There are 350 participants in the Sprint and another 250 in the Olympic.
As mentioned, the swimming tests will be carried out in the Arenal Beach, the cycling one on Avenida del Pla and the running one will run along the first Montañar.
In addition, he announced that the organization will give all participants a Trixàbia blanket, a piece of clothing that will allow them to change clothes in the different sectors in a comfortable and easy way.
At the event, the Councilor for Sports, Toni Molina, recognized the "effort" involved in organizing this type of tests for the Club and highlighted the work of all the volunteers, as well as the Local Police and Civil Protection. Molina has expressed hope that the weather "will continue to be favorable" and will allow both athletes and residents to enjoy this sporting event.
Meanwhile, the mayor, Rosa Cardona, has invited the entire town of Xàbia to enjoy the event and has highlighted that the City Council collaborates in the sporting event through the municipal company of Aguas, Amjasa, with the installation of drinking water fountains. Likewise, he has highlighted the commitment to sustainability that the Club Atletisme Llebeig makes with the reusable cups or the food it provides to the athletes at the end of the test, which are KM 0.
Trixàbia is in its 11th edition and has the support of the City Council, Xabia's Bike, Tiempo, Matties Bags, Esports Colau, Marina Nou Fontana, Realique and Restaurant La Fontana.
