The Popular Party of Xàbia asks the municipal government to plan investments and their order according to the needs of the municipality. The popular ones indicate that they do not know what is the criterion that is followed for the selection of investment projects, "because it is a mill and it is nothing else", they say from the PP after the approval of this investment in the last plenary session.
The popular councilors request, as opposition, "Exercise our right to confront ideas, to discuss the needs in terms of investments that our municipality needs and not to urgently approve 3,5 million euros.
"We already know that we do not have a budget and that we operate with an extended one, but this anomaly cannot be used to systematically impose a criterion when spending on municipal investments", they point out from the popular line and add the possibility of knowing "the state of processing of the files that affect municipal liquidity, instead of having to ask in each plenary session."
Projects that revitalize the local economy
From the PP they highlight the priority of planning in projects that revitalize the local economy, "Projects such as the Central Cinema or the rehabilitation of Casa Candelaria are a priority over the asphalt that the municipal government has imposed".
In his opinion, according to the popular ones, "Before the purchase of a mill, it is more urgent to repair the public lighting network to prevent the streets from going dark."
