And it is that this property is one of the beneficiaries of the Urban Actions 2020 subsidy line promoted by the department of Martínez Dalmau to recover municipal heritage buildings of a social, cultural and / or historical nature.
Xàbia presented a valued memory of the work necessary to fully clean up the building, which is structurally precarious.
The intervention, valued at around one million euros, would serve to clean up the structure and roof, seal cracks and repair the water or sanitation networks. According to this line of aid, the Ministry will be in charge of drafting the project for the execution of the work and will subsequently allocate a maximum grant of 500.000 euros for its execution.
The building known as Casa Xolbi (or Candelaria) is a large house with 34 rooms of various sizes and functions, spread over four floors and is one of the oldest and most interesting buildings that are preserved in the town. The transformations and adaptations that it has undergone between the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries have not substantially modified its external appearance.
