The Optimist team members of the Torrevieja Yacht Club celebrated the achievement of the title of regional champions by Optimits teams. The test was held in the waters of the Bay of Xàbia framed within the activities of the 46 Sailing Week organized by the Club Náutico Jávea.
This appointment was attended by the boats of the clubs of the Real Club Náutico Calpe, Nautical Club Santa Pola, Real Club Náutico Torrevieja, Real Club Náutico Dénia and Club Náutico Jávea.
The test was very exciting and was decided on the last day. Having a triple tie between the Dénia, Santa Pola and Torrevieja formations. The comxicotetion days were marked by the difficult conditions in which the sea was and 1 round robin (series of meetings) could be completed, in the first one.
On the last day, finally, it was the two clubs in the south of the Region that faced each other in the final, in which the formation of the Royal Yacht Club Torrevieja was imposed.
The second place went to the team of the Nautical Club of Santa Pola, being third the Royal Nautical Club of Dénia, fourth the Club Nautico de Javea, formed by Arantza Reig, Joel Ferrer, Kevin Lenis and Lucy Crosbie and in fifth place finished the team of Calpe.
