La xabiera, Julia Miñana, winner in the '49 Xàbia Sailing Week '

The yachtsman, Julia MiñanaBelonging to Club Náutico Jávea, was the winner of the '49 Candle Week' Organized by your own club. Miñana was the best of 'Sir Thomas Litpon Trophy, with your boat, Namaste.

On Saturday the last two races were held, the Comodoro Trophy Federico Gimeno which gathered in the bay of Xàbia about fifty boats and in the morning the last test of the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy and Lipton Club.

In the general classification of the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy, the boat Namaste which was patronized by Julia Miñana and members of the Sailing Section such as Luis Simó, Luis Aroca, Juanjo Royo or the Club's sports director, Javier Momparler.

In second position, in general, was the 'Kalamandurrio' of Pablo Nogueroles of the Altea Yacht Club, and in third position he entered 'Scampi' by Antonio Gadea, Real Club Náutico de Dénia.

Miñana raised the trophy that accredits the team as the best of sailing week in the presence of the president of the Club Nautico de Javea, Arturo Miquel, the president of the Valencian Sailing Federation, Carlos Torrado, the Councilor for Sports, Alberto Tur, and Carlos Alba, CEO of Living Ceramics, the company that has sponsored this edition of Vela Week.

The Commodore of the Club, Rafael García Bartual, stressed that this week of the Sailing has been the most successful, both in sports events and in social events such as the paella contest in which close to 400 people participated.

He also thanked the support of the sponsors, as well as the team of sports management and management that make both sports events and social events possible. But he also had a few words for the sailors who "It's there but we never remember them" and stressed that daily they make 16 kilometers on average to serve all users of the Club's vessels.

For his part, the president of the Federation Carlos Torrado, said that sailing is a sport "inclusive that favors equality and teaches many values" and said that Jávea's is a “Fantastic club for activities like Candle Week”.
