El Club Náutico Jávea organizes this June the Interscholastic League in collaboration with the Javea Town Hall, an event that allows, as highlighted by the Club's sports director, Javier Momparler, "to bring sailing closer to all schoolchildren" in our municipality.
This 2022 marks 26 editions since the Club Náutico Jávea organizes this league that brings together a hundred schoolchildren from all the educational centers of Xàbia.
Momparler explained that the League consists of a set of activities related to water sports, from sailing to windsurfing or paddle surfing, as well as a theoretical part with environmental awareness activities and respect for the marine environment. "The little ones are the future and instilling in them the values of respect for the environment and the marine environment from now on will allow them to be much more respectful in the future", stressed the sports director.
Led by the Club's team of monitors, groups are formed by schools or ages in such a way that camaraderie and teamwork are encouraged. "In the interscholastic league we want everyone to sail and learn about the different types of sailing boats there are." In addition, at the end, a comxicotetion is held between the groups, and the best of all of them takes the final prize.
The Interschool League is a first step to enter the sea sports that can be practiced in the Sports Classroom of the Jávea Yacht Club, "many of the schoolchildren decide to continue during the summer with the summer courses", added Momparler.
The sports director recalled that some of the young sailors who are in the different fleets of the Club "also started in the Interschool League" and has valued the work carried out by the entire team of the Sports Sailing Section so that schoolchildren learn in these courses "appreciate the sea and enjoy practicing water sports".
