Yesterday at 20: 00 h. took place at the Casa de la Cultura de Jávea briefing to present the citizens of the municipality the feasibility study for the construction and operation of a nautical-sports facility in the port of Xàbia with the presence of José Chulvi, Mayor of Jávea, And Ignasi Astor, Technical Department of the Environment.
The presentation of the study was conducted Ignasi who began by saying that the grant under study affects a total area of 23.686,9 square meters of land and water surface. The study proposes a management port that allows host a new nautical sports facility that meets the existing demand for new moorings. The end result will 205 281 public berths and moorings on a concession that the ties remain exploited will be added by the Club Nautico de Javea. These moorings in turn are divided into three categories: moorings preferential use (duration and payment agreed with the concessionaire) moorings to rent for less than one year and moorings of passersby periods (maximum 15 days in high season and 2 months season low).
The cost of the investment to be made is 8.273.374 euros, the operating expenses would be around 425.000 euros per year and the fee for occupation of the public domain is a minimum of 50.000 euros per year + VAT. A net mooring area of 6.882,36 square meters would mean annual income of 1.130.427,63 euros. As regards the new construction to be carried out, the feasibility study of the Town hall de Jávea says that the maximum height will be two floors and will not exceed 7,50 meters measured above ground level, in addition the minimum distance will be 6 meters from the sheet of water. Another condition is that the aesthetics of the building be consistent with the surroundings of the port and the marine environment.
From the City Council they assure that the feasibility study presents a proposal aimed at satisfying a historical demand in the municipality of moorings and nautical-sports activities that are claimed as an economic activity linked to the improvement of the tourist offer of Jávea. As Astor said, "This is to optimize the space before doing great works"One of the problems that the study raises is the issue of parking.
